At SJ, we offer two different day camp options. Our youth co-ed day camp is for younger children and is focused on sports, crafts, and farm animals. Our riding day camp is for older children who are ready to join the residential camp activities but are not ready or able to stay overnight. The youth program offers optional riding 2x per week while the riding program offers riding 1x or 2x per day.
Youth Co-Ed Day Camp
Our co-ed general camp is for children ages 5 through 9. We offer 1/2 day (9am-noon) and full-day (9am-4pm) options as well as extended hours from 8am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm.
The day camp is the ideal place for young children to grow socially and experience friendship, nature, and some farm life. Programming is developed specifically for this age group and is staffed by counselors experienced working with young children. The programing includes mini farm activities, arts & crafts, games/sports, nature hikes, and water games. Riding lessons are offered 2x per week and are optional.
Riding Day Camp
Our Riding Day Camp is for older children ages 8 through 16 years old. Campers in this program join our residential campers for activities, meals, and riding lessons. Riding Day Camp runs from 8:30am-6pm Monday through Friday.
The Riding Day Camp is ideal for campers who are ready for more independence and who are interested in riding every day. There is the option for riding one or two times per day. Campers in this program will be placed in riding groups based on level.
