SJ Riding Camp, originally named San Juan Ranch, was founded in 1956 by Mary E. Haines. Her vision was to have a residential riding camp for her children and their friends. Since then, SJ Riding Camp has grown into a comprehensive riding facility offering general activities with a focus on maintaining and celebrating a family-oriented environment that provides each camper with individual attention and holistic experience. Our camp provides girls, ages 8 to 16, with a safe place to improve their riding skills, the opportunity to learn to ride while understanding the responsibility of horse care; improving their horsemanship skills, and having fun while learning to be active, caring members of our camp community.
