We are an overnight summer horseback riding camp located in New England! SJ Riding Camp is an ideal place to improve your riding skills or learn to ride for the first time; develop a deeper understanding of horses; be able to take on the responsibilities of horse and small animal care, and most importantly a place to make lifelong friends and have fun!

SJ Riding Camp, originally named San Juan Ranch, was founded in 1956 by Mary E. Haines. Her vision was to have a residential riding camp for her children and their friends. Since then, SJ Riding Camp has grown into a comprehensive riding facility offering general activities with a focus on maintaining and celebrating a family-oriented environment that provides each camper with individual attention and holistic experience. Our camp provides girls, ages 8 to 16, with a safe place to improve their riding skills, the opportunity to learn to ride while understanding the responsibility of horse care; improving their horsemanship skills, and having fun while learning to be active, caring members of our camp community.
