Family Camp

FAQs

Who can come to Family Camp?

First time campers and their families, including men and boys, are invited to Family Camp!

How much does it cost?

Each person attending will need their own pass. You can choose from:

Overnight – $125/person over age 8, $75/person under age 8. Includes all activities, meals, and sleeping over at camp.

Day Pass – $50/person. Includes activities from 10am-6pm and lunch.

Where will we be staying if we sleep over?

In the cabins! There are 6-8 beds in each cabin, and top bunks have bed rails. There will be mattresses but you will need to bring your own linens (a pillow, twin sheets and warm blankets or a sleeping bag are recommended). All cabins have overhead lights, but most do not have outlets.

Will there be animals at camp? Will we be riding?

While we will have some horses on the property, our ridable horses are still off camp on lease during Family Camp. The horses who are here are either retired, in medical treatment, in training, or companion animals.

We will have opportunities to spend time with our mini goats and pig as well!

What should we pack?

  • Closed toe shoes – boots if you want to visit the horses
  • Bedding
  • Shower caddy with toiletries
  • Warm clothes and layers
  • Medications
  • Flashlight
  • Water bottle

What will meals be like?

We will sample some of our summer favorites at the Dining Hall! Examples of meals we have had before include grilled cheese and tomato soup, taco salad, french toast with sausage and scrambled eggs, and of course s’mores. There is also a salad bar at every meal to supplement the main dish.

Please let us know if you have dietary allergies or restrictions! We are happy to work with you to make sure you have something to enjoy.

What kind of activities will there be?

  • Arts and Crafts like friendship bracelets, cabin decorations, SJ journals, and more
  • Mini farm sessions playing with, grooming, and training our three miniature goats and small Juliana pig
  • Barn Orientation for campers
  • Meet the Directors question and answer session for adults
  • Bonfire – weather depending
  • Sports and Games – Pickleball, basketball, gaga ball, frisbee… so many options!
  • Nature walks – hike the lake loop and go frogging at the waterfront
  • Feeding the animals breakfast and dinner
